What this policy covers
This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our company website or contact us.
It does not cover personal information processed within our apps or games. Those products require their own privacy notices.
Information we collect
When you contact us, we receive your email address, any name you provide, and the information contained in your message and attachments. Please only send information relevant to your enquiry.
Our website hosting services may record technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages requested, access times, and error records. This information supports the operation and security of the website.
Hostinger provides server-based website traffic statistics using access logs. These include information about requests, visitor IP addresses, browser and device details, and countries inferred from IP addresses.
Our website pages load a script from Hostinger Reach. Requests for this script provide Hostinger with technical connection information, including your IP address.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to company and product enquiries.
- Manage correspondence and any follow-up you request.
- Operate, maintain, and protect the website.
- Investigate technical problems, misuse, or security incidents.
- Meet applicable legal obligations.
Our lawful bases
We rely on legitimate interests to manage ordinary business enquiries and operate a reliable, secure website. These interests include communicating with people who contact us and protecting our website from misuse.
Where an enquiry concerns entering into a contract with you, we may process information to take steps at your request before entering that contract, or to perform an existing contract.
We rely on legal obligation where processing is required by law.
Where we rely on consent, we explain what you are agreeing to. You can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses WordPress browser session storage to remember whether your browser supports emoji. The storage entry, wpEmojiSettingsSupports, contains emoji-support test results and a timestamp. It is kept for the browser page session and can be cleared using your browser’s site-data controls.
The Hostinger Reach script loaded by our website is delivered through Cloudflare. Responses from this service may set a __cf_bm cookie on hostinger.com for bot management. Cloudflare documents that this cookie expires after 30 minutes of continuous inactivity. Whether it is stored depends on your browser’s third-party-cookie settings. You can block or clear it using your browser’s cookie and site-data controls.
If we introduce other cookies or similar technologies in the future, we will update this policy to explain their purposes and how you can manage your choices. Where consent is required, we will obtain it before using them.
Who receives information
Service providers supporting our website hosting, email, and website maintenance may process information on our behalf where necessary to deliver their services.
Hostinger provides our website hosting, content delivery network, backups, and email hosting. Our website also loads the Hostinger Reach script.
Cloudflare provides delivery and bot-management services for the Hostinger Reach script. Hostinger may use subprocessors listed in its Data Processing Addendum.
We may also disclose information where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
International transfers
Our website hosting server is in the Netherlands and its backup location is Lithuania. Hostinger also delivers website content through its global content delivery network.
Hostinger publishes CDN locations including South Africa, Japan and Australia. CDN requests may therefore be processed outside the United Kingdom.
Cloudflare documents that cookie data may be processed in the United States by default. Its privacy notice describes reliance on the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for UK-to-US transfers, with standard contractual clauses as a fallback and for other international transfers.
Hostinger’s Data Processing Addendum provides for the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where applicable to transfers to countries without an adequacy decision. You can request further information about the relevant safeguards by emailing contact@holst-media.com.
How long we keep information
We retain enquiry correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the enquiry, manage relevant follow-up, and maintain records of any resulting business relationship.
When deciding how long to retain information, we consider the purpose of the correspondence, whether the matter remains open, and any applicable legal or record-keeping requirements.
Our hosting plan uses automated weekly backups. Hostinger’s published retention period for weekly backups is six weeks, after which older backups are permanently removed.
Hostinger makes email access and delivery logs available for 30 days.
Hostinger’s Data Processing Addendum provides for processing customer data during the service agreement and deletion 30 days after processing terminates, subject to the terms of the particular service and any retention required by law.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to access your personal information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict processing, object to processing, or receive certain information in a portable format.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object to that processing. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it.
To make a request, email contact@holst-media.com. We may need information to verify your identity before responding.
You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.
Providing information
You do not need to send us personal information simply to read our website. If you contact us, we need sufficient information to understand your enquiry and a contact address to reply.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the website or how we handle information. The date above shows when it was last updated.
